Nurses
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning and healthy living advice. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. Patients with long-term health conditions will receive a letter to attend an appointment at least once a year.

Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioners
Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioners are experts in dealing with bone, joint or muscle pains. You can book an appointment directly through reception without needing to see your GP first. They have the knowledge and ability to assess you and diagnose what’s happening and can advise on how to best manage your condition and refer you onto specialist services if necessary.
Practice Management
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Lyndsay deals with patient queries or concerns, she also works closely with Michelle to ensure the efficient running of the Practice.
Care Co-ordinators
The Care Co-ordinators play an important role within the practice to proactively identify and work with people, including the frail/elderly and those with long-term conditions, to provide coordination and navigation of care and support across health and care services. The Care Coordinator will provide extra time, capacity, and expertise to support patients in preparing for or in following-up clinical conversations they have with primary care professionals.

Iram is based in the office and ensures all hospital letters are scanned onto the clinical system and assists with all the data processing within the practice. Iram is also responsible for the secretarial duties along with Tiah. You may also see Iram on reception and speak to her on the phone.

Tiah is based in the office and is responsible for all secretarial issues. Tiah ensures all referral letters are typed and sent in a timely manner along with Iram. You may also see Tiah on reception and speak to her on the phone.
Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses and will ask you, your symptoms, this is to ensure you are booked in with the most suitable clinician. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries.

Our receptionists are highly trained and will offer friendly courteous advice to help you decide what type of service you need from us and direct you to the most appropriate person.
