Patient Scam Alert – Stay Safe!
We've been made aware that a patient at a GP practice in Oldham was recently targeted by a scam caller pretending to be a “Senior Health Advisor/GP.”
The caller asked the patient about their medical history and ongoing health issues to build trust. After gaining their confidence, they offered medication for a fee, then requested bank details to take payment.
Please be cautious:
This may be an isolated incident, but it could be part of a wider scam.
Our practice will NEVER call you to request payment or ask for your bank details over the phone.
If you receive a suspicious call, do not provide any personal or financial information. Contact the surgery directly to verify.
